Delta Miter Saw 10 IN
You can get the Delta Miter Saw 26-2250 in both 25- and 30-cm versions. The unique joint arm system is what I love about this saw. The saw has two 45-degree arms, which are offset 90 degrees. This gives you excellent accuracy. This system is more compact than the traditional one-arm system found in miter saws.
Things We Like
- Because of its unique rail system, it is easier to store and takes up less space.
- It has a right-angle cut of 60 degrees that you usually dont find in miter saws.
- The saw still performs well, even though it has an elbow system instead of the rail system.
- The plastic is surprisingly good quality and keeps the saw slightly lighter than some other ones.
Things We Didn’t Like
- The saw bag is kind of awkward and doesnt hold a lot of sawdust.
- The blade handle moves slightly too much from left to right when fully extended, it is okay, but It has a lot of wiggle room which makes it feel like it could break easily.
- The blade that it comes with is kind of dull and needs to be replaced rather quickly. It would be nice to include a higher quality blade.
Best For
This Saw is Best for anyone that needs a miter saw and doesnt have a lot of room in their shop. The elbow arms save a lot of space, but this saw does have a lot of flexibility in the handle when fully entended. This saw is not recommended for heavy industrial or construction use.
Delta Miter Saw S26-271L
The Delta Miter Saw S26-271L can be used at home. Its smaller design is more traditional for a miter saw, and uses the rail system that most people are used to. This saw worked well in my home workshop, although it’s not as universally applicable as other miter saws. It is lightweight and easy to move around.
Things We Loved
- Laser guides are a great way to improve the precision of your cuts. This feature should come standard on all miter saws.
- This is the perfect tool for any weekend woodworker or home garage. This saw is very affordable. This saw is semi-good quality and costs less than other miter saws.
Things We Didn’t Like
- This saw blade has 24 teeth and is of poor quality. Delta could really step it up with the saw blades.
- It was a little more challenging to set up than some other saws that we have used. It won’t cut as accurately if it isn’t set up properly.
Best For
This saw is perfect for the hobbiest wood worker. This saw is ideal for small projects or home repairs. This saw has a 30 cm blade and takes up a lot of space. This miter saw will need to be stored in a place that is large enough.

Another thing to remember is that you must always wear your personal safety equipment when operating a mitersaw. Keep your fingers at least 18cm away from the blade and don’t raise it until it stops completely.

Part numbers are included in the manual. The results of a search on the part finder website were not all that consistent.

Our Take
The Delta 26-2250 Miter saw is our choice. It is ideal for home use. It is easy to use and fits well on the stand. The new elbow arm feature is just amazing, and it even goes the additional 60 degrees on the right cut. The other Delta is helpful, too, but the 26-721L just doesnt fit easily into many spaces.
The 26-721L is great for small shops that use it for hobbies projects or repairs. However, if you need to use the miter saw constantly, the 26-2250 is better.
